랑세스, 화학제품 온라인 마켓플레이스 '케몬디스' 론칭
- 랑세스 디지털화 전략 일환으로 탄생한 신생 스타트업

독일계 특수화학기업 랑세스가 전 세계 화학제품 제조사와 판매사가 직접 거래를 할 수 있는 온라인 마켓플레이스 ‘케몬디스(CheMondis, www.chemondis.com)’를 정식 론칭했다.
케몬디스는 랑세스가 설립한 신생 스타트업으로 화학제품 제조사 및 판매사라면 누구라도 등록해 제품을 사고 팔 수 있는 B2B플랫폼이다. 지난 몇 주 사이 200개 이상 업체가 등록했으며 현재 약 500여 개 제품이 거래되고 있다.
랑세스의 오랜 화학업계 경험과 기술 전문성, 스타트업의 도전정신을 바탕으로 탄생한 케몬디스는 신뢰할 수 있는 화학제품을 가장 진보한 방식으로 거래할 수 있는 온라인 플랫폼으로 성장을 기대하고 있다.

랑세스는 2017년부터 전사 차원에서 디지털화(digitalization) 전략을 수립해 추진해오고 있다. 별도의 독립 조직을 만들어 디지털 비즈니스 모델 개발, 가치사슬 전반에 신기술 도입, 빅데이터 개발 및 운영, 디지털 전문인재 육성 등에 집중하고 있다. 케몬디스도 랑세스 디지털화 전략의 일환으로 탄생했다.
케몬디스는 랑세스가100% 지분을 소유한 자회사로 자체 인력, 브랜딩, IT시스템을 갖추고 독립 운영된다. 본사는 독일 쾰른에 위치했다.
